Seven Hills hosts Carribean sounds
The Seven Hills community in Henderson will host a free outdoor concert tonight from 8 to 10 p.m. featuring Island Tyme. The performance will be held at Sonata Park, 1550 Seven Hills Drive. The Las Vegas-based band performs a blend of soca, reggae, Carribean, calypso and jazz stylings. Attendees are invited to bring blankets and food. Vendors will sell refreshments as well. Free shuttle bus service to the park will be available. To attend, take Interstate 215 to Eastern Avenue, go south to St. Rose Parkway, head west to Seven Hills Drive and then go south, following the signs to the parking area. The Seven Hills Builders and Henderson Parks and Recreation Department are funding the concert. A development of Silver Canyon Partnership, Seven Hills is located among foothills. The 1,300-acre community will comprise more than 3,000 homes in 25 neighborhoods, including an estimated 300 custom-estate homes. Homes within the community are priced from the low $200,000s. A variety of homes sites are available, and priced from the $200,000s to more than $1 million. Both homes and home sites offer a variety of views, including the city, mountains and a nearby golf course. Neighborhoods open for sales are: Renaissance by Pardee Homes, Palazzo Monte by US Home, Meridiana by Trident Homes, Encore at Palatine Hill by Richmond American Homes, and Villa Villagio by Astoria Homes. Estate-home sites are available at the Venezia and Terracina neighborhoods by Silver Canyon Partnership and at Corcovado and Portofino Custom Homesites by Nevastar Investment Corp. About one-third of the community's acreage is dedicated to open areas. Many neighborhoods interconnect with or adjoin community parks and walkways. Seven Hills contains four city parks with amenities such as basketball and tennis courts, soccer fields, volleyballs quads, baseball diamonds and playgrounds. Each park is designed to match its surrounding terrain. The sales center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. To visit, take St. Rose Parkway west, about a mile past Eastern Avenue, and go south on Seven Hills Drive.
