KB assists `Rebuilding Together'

Rebuilding Together, a Las Vegas charity that provides home rehabilitation services for the area's low-income population, will open a new office headquarters later this month.

KB Home donated more than $120,000 in cash, materials and labor to the effort, which involved remodeling a downtown home located at 611 S. Ninth St.

"We needed a new office that was central to our clients," said Keith Lane executive director of the nonprofit agency. "Our main focus is to help area citizens with their homes, so KB Home was a great fit for our efforts."

The organization was founded nationally in 1988 (and locally in 1993) as Christmas in April.

One-stop shopping is offered at the KB Home Studio, located just south of Warm Springs Road at 7440 S. Industrial Road, Suite 201. Its Homebuyers Club offers potential clients free assistance including credit reports, a review of their financial situation and credit counseling.

The home builder is active in several markets across the United States, as well as in France.
