Pulte goes to the speedway
Pulte Homes' personnel may be in the stands tonight at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to cheer on a certain driver. Travis Swalwell is scheduled to race in NASCAR's Dodge Weekly Series Super Late Model division, one of seven scheduled events at the Bullring. He is co-sponsored by the builder and Buffalo Wild Wings. Swalwell's family lives in the Pulte home they purchased in 1992 in the northwestern valley. The neighborhood, Silver Mesa, was one of the first the Michigan-based company built in Southern Nevada. "We will never have a home by another builder," said Vanessa Swalwell, the driver's stepmother. "For us, it is nothing but an honor to have the Pulte Homes' name stand behind us." Hawaiian Night at the speedway, located at 7000 N. Las Vegas Blvd., starts at 7:15 p.m. Admission is $11 per person and gates open at 6 p.m.
