Newlyweds sold on design, lifestyle at Aliante

Newlyweds Jayson and Reina Breitmeyer spent about six months looking at new homes before finding the style and quality they wanted at the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas.

"We looked at about 50 neighborhoods all over the valley, but we couldn't find the combination of features we were looking for until we discovered Aliante," Jayson Breitmeyer said. "From the time we drove into Aliante, we could see that this was a place where you get more than just a house, but a real sense of community as well. The overall design is comparable to the finest of master-planned communities. The selection of homes is excellent.

"Just to be sure we were making the right decision though, we made a point to talk to a few people who are already living in Aliante. Time after time, we heard nothing but favorable comments about the location, the quality of the homes and all of the exciting new growth planned for the area."

The outdoor amenities were attractive to the couple.

"We both enjoy tennis and other outdoor activities. So for us, Aliante has it all," he said. "From the golf course, to the well-equipped parks and the walking trails, there are abundant outdoor activities."

Also featured are soccer and volleyball courts, bocce, linear parks and an arroyo. Two elementary schools, a middle school and fire station have been proposed, and about 100 acres have been allocated for commercial development and a gaming hotel.

The Breitmeyers chose a two-story, three-bedroom home in the Courts neighborhood by D.R. Horton.

"The home we selected has a spacious design, with lots of room for our furnishings, as well as the extra bedrooms we will need when family and friends visit," he said. "We felt that it was an excellent overall value, considering the quality of the home and all of the wonderful amenities that are part of the Aliante master plan."

Aliante is a development of North Valley Enterprises, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb Corp. It encompasses more than 1,900 acres and will have about 20,000 residents in primary and age-qualified villages.

In the primary village, D.R. Horton, KB Home, Pardee Homes and Pulte Homes are building homes that measure from 1,141 to 3,990 square feet and are priced from the low $100,000s to the $350,000s.

Del Webb is constructing the age-qualified Sun City Aliante, where single-story designs range from 1,155 to 2,105 square feet and are priced from the $160,000s to the $240,000s.

The information center is located at the southeast corner of Interstate 215 and Aliante Parkway. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, exit east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Turn right at Frontage Road, then left onto Interstate 215. Exit at Aliante Parkway and go south to the primary village or north to Sun City.
