Christopher's custom division expands services

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Christopher Homes' custom-home division has enhanced its client services to further simplify the building process, according to Mark Stuhmer, vice president of custom-home sales.

"Christopher Homes is well known for offering a simplified process in designing and building dream homes with an absolute minimum of worry or guesswork on the part of our clients," Stuhmer said. "Now, we not only assist custom-home clients in designing the home of their dreams, but we will also build a custom home from plans prepared by the client's preferred architect on virtually any home site in the valley. With (us) as the builder, the client is assured that every aspect of the process will be handled under one roof by one highly skilled team of professionals."

In addition, John Lazootin recently joined the custom division as in-house architect. He brings 23 years of experience to the company. Previously, he designed residences in Southern California, most notably in Laguna Niguel, Irvine and Newport Beach.

"Throughout my career, I have been familiar with the quality and caliber of homes built by Christopher Homes, and I've seen the recognition this company has achieved on a local, regional and national scale," Lazootin said. "I relish the opportunity to bring my experience to Christopher Homes and to collaborate with our entire custom-home team in creating unique and exciting residences in Southern Nevada.

"At Christopher Homes, we utilize a personal approach, where we take the time to sit down with our clients, carefully listen to their requests and then lend our expertise to create a custom home with the utmost in elegance, drama and, perhaps most important, livability," Lazootin said. "One of the nicest things about designing homes for a builder like Christopher Homes is the fact that we have so many award-winning home designs available for clients to look at for inspiration in designing their own homes. It's a great way to begin the design process, although we are equally happy to design a custom home based solely on the input of the client."

Stuhmer said the division has the ability to deliver each home in a more timely manner and at greater value.

"Our custom-home clients have the value-added benefits of our considerable purchasing power and the long-established relationships that we have with our subcontractors and suppliers," he said. "For the client, this can translate to substantial savings, a higher quality home and more amenities for the price. In fact, since many of our plans have already been engineered, we can build a custom home on a client's own home site starting from $115 per square foot.

"Our staff is highly familiar with local codes, the architectural review process and the potential value of home sites available in the various neighborhoods and master-planned communities. As an added benefit, we can offer our clients the most sought-after features in luxury-home building, such as basements, elevators, detached casitas, wine cellars, fireside courtyards and a complete range of other options."

The division has more than 25 residences under way in communities that include Lake Las Vegas Resort, Summerlin, Southern Highlands Golf Club, Seven Hills, Anthem and MacDonald Highlands. A limited number of these homes are available for sale.

Information can be obtained at the builder's Bellacere neighborhood in Summerlin. To visit, take Summerlin Parkway to Town Center Drive, head south to Alta Drive and go east. Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
