Street of Dreams homes progress as debut nears
The mansions being built for the 2004 Street of Dreams luxury-home tour will be among the most opulent and expensive in the show's 18-year history, said Bryan Ashbaugh, chief executive of Street of Dreams Inc. Ashbaugh said more than 50,000 visitors are expected to attend the show, which will be held in the guard-gated MacDonald Highlands community in Henderson. Located on the hillsides of the McCullough Mountains, the community is centered around DragonRidge Country Club and three neighborhood parks. It offers 10 custom-home neighborhoods. The multimillion-dollar show homes will range from about 5,400 to 9,500 square feet and provide views of the city and mountains. Participating builders are Christopher Homes, Sun West Custom Homes and Sunwood Inc. Each home will be furnished and accessorized. The show opens May 15 and continues through June 20. Homes will be open Tuesday through Sunday and on Memorial Day.
