Floor plan, location tilt buyers to Edgewood
Roger and Jennifer Cooper recently moved from Michigan to Las Vegas, where they purchased a new home at Edgewood, a Richmond American Homes neighborhood in the northeastern valley. "We chose to buy a Richmond home because of the good quality name and great pricing. We had heard that Richmond builds an excellent home and we wanted to go with a dependable builder," Roger Cooper said. Jennifer Cooper was impressed by the neighborhood's location. "The location is close to both of our workplaces, yet it is still in a quaint residential area," she said. "We like that it is not in a busy area, however it is near everything we need." Jennifer Cooper is an elementary school teacher, and her husband is employed by a lumber company. They purchased the 1,146-square-foot Buena Vista plan. "We like the openness of the floor plan. The entry to the kitchen flows from the family room, which makes it very convenient. Also, the master bedroom and bath are exceptionally spacious," Jennifer Cooper said. Roger Cooper praised the home's exterior design. The two-story floor plan, priced from the $160,000s, includes two bedrooms and two baths upstairs. A powder room downstairs is optional. The master suite provides a Roman tub, and the secondary bedroom features a walk-in closet. A single-car garage is standard. Also available is the Alta Vista, a single-story floor plan with one bedroom, a great room, and a kitchen with nook. It is priced from the low $100,000s. The two-story Chula Vista, which measures 1,308 square feet, is priced from the $180,000s. It features three bedrooms upstairs. Downstairs is the great room and kitchen with nook. A tech area or extra half bath is optional. To visit Edgewood, which is selling from the builder's Tierra Mesa neighborhood, take Interstate 15 to Lake Mead Boulevard, head east to Bonnie Lane and go north. The builder has 30 neighborhoods under development in the Las Vegas Valley. All sales offices are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday and Friday, when they open at noon.
