Vistana makes the grade

Fourth-grade teacher Kevin Gilmore makes sure his pupils' achievements correspond to the grades they receive.

When it came to buying a home, he gave similarly high marks to Vistana, a condominium complex in the southwestern valley built by Rhodes Homes.

"It is like we earned a perfect `A' at our community," sales agent Jo Beth Dittrich said. "The affordable tropical resort-style living really sets Vistana apart from the competition."

Gilmore chose the 1,413-square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bath Venice floor plan for its included features.

"I love the spaciousness of the home and the large walk-in closet," Gilmore said. "The big windows also contribute to the open feel of the home."

He also cited the fireplace and patio/balcony in his buying decision.
