Golf membership possible with Vintage Valley lot purchase
Buyers at Vintage Valley, the newest custom-lot enclave to open within The Estates at Southern Highlands Golf Club in the southwestern valley, may now find a golf membership included with their home-site purchase. Although prospective golf members still need to be approved for membership, this offer provides lot owners with the opportunity to belong to one of the most prestigious, private golf clubs in the Western United States, according to the developer. Named in 2001 as the Best New Private Golf Club in the Western United States by Golf Digest, the 7,400-yard, par-72 course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr., provides dramatic changes in elevation and views from each hole. The club's 42,000-square-foot clubhouse, fashioned after a Tuscan manor, features a golfer's library, wine room, men's and women's locker rooms, casual and fine dining, and a golf shop. In addition, five furnished golf cottages are available as vacation residences to members and their guests. Each cottage measures 1,400 square feet. Vintage Valley, a gated neighborhood, features half-acre lots priced from $250,000. Its 71 home sites offer golf course or park frontage. From tree-lined streets and sidewalks to a 2-acre park with basketball court and playground, Vintage Valley residents may also take advantage of membership in The Fitness Center, which is scheduled to start construction this year. Southern Highlands is a 2,300-acre master-planned community located in the southwestern valley. It features jogging and biking trails that will complement the Village Center, a planned shopping and dining complex. To reach The Estates at Southern Highlands, take Interstate 15 to Lake Mead Drive and exit west, following the signs. The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
