Street of Dreams set for third run in Nevada

Preparations are under way for the 2002 Las Vegas Street of Dreams luxury housing tour, which will be held over a six-week period from May 4 through June 16 in Henderson.

This will be the third Street of Dreams event held in Southern Nevada and the first to feature terraced, hillside homes. Each will offer views of the city and mountains.

The hillside homes will be valued from about $2 million to $3.45 million and range from 5,408 to 8,251 square feet. According to representatives of Street of Dreams Inc., the homes in this show will be the most expensive and opulent ever built for a Street of Dreams event.

The show will be open Tuesdays through Sundays and closed on Mondays, except for Memorial Day. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Ticket sales stop at 6:30 p.m.). Admission is $10 for adults; $8 for senior citizens and children ages 4 to 12; and free for children ages 3 and under.

The homes for the event are under construction in the Highlands custom-home neighborhood, which is part of MacDonald Highlands, a guard-gated community centered around DragonRidge Golf and Country Club and three neighborhood parks.

Builders and their respective design firms in the show are: Job Construction LLC with Sydni Jay Interiors Associates; Sun West Custom Homes with Karen Butera Inc.; 5 Star Development/Hi-Con Inc. with Designers Touch; and GJM Development with Joy Bell Design Associates.

Street of Dreams Inc. is a privately held, Seattle-based promotions company whose sole business is producing luxury home tours in the United States. Since 1985, the company has held 60 tours.
