Councilman holds fond memories of Pardee home
Las Vegas City Councilman Gary Reese, who has lived in a Pardee home for more than 30 years, was one of a dozen Nevada leaders who filmed congratulatory messages in honor of the builder's 50th anniversary. "It was really fun when we first moved here into our Pardee home because it was the first new home we'd ever had," Reese said. "I was the kind of a parent who liked to have all the neighborhood kids at our house, so we made a lot of great memories here. I know other people who have had their Pardee homes since the Sixties. They're all still happy, just like I'm still happy with my home. It's been wonderful living here." Reese said he enjoys having longtime neighbors. "But we also think it's fun to see young families coming into our neighborhood and to watch their lives starting out," he said. "One reason Pardee has had 50 years of successful building in Clark County and Las Vegas is that they have been committed not only to building quality houses, but quality neighborhoods." The builder has completed more than 25,000 homes in Southern Nevada over the past 50 years. Pardee is developing several communities: Eldorado in North Las Vegas, Rancho Las Palmas in the southeastern valley, and Nevada Trails and Shadow Mountain Ranch in the southwestern valley. The builder is also active in the Seven Hills community in Henderson.
