The Paseos evolves in Summerlin
The newest village to take shape in the Summerlin master-planned community is The Paseos, located west of Interstate 215, between Alta Drive and Charleston Boulevard. Plans for the 375-acre village include 14 single-family and multifamily developments, a nearly 20-acre park and trail system, an elementary school and a house of worship. The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin, started infrastructure work for the village in 2003. "In less than a year, we have seen extensive changes to the area, including the grading of hundreds of lots and the commencement of building by eight home builders that are offering more than 30 floor plans," Larry Brocato, executive vice president for Hughes, said. Available homes in The Paseos range from 1,305 to 2,548 square feet and are priced from about $235,000 to more than $700,000. Home builders are Greystone Homes, KB Home, Pulte Homes, Richmond American Homes, Toll Bros., Westmark Homes, William Lyon Homes and Woodside Homes. The architecture resembles hacienda and mission styles, featuring portals, arches and outdoor living areas. Recreational amenities include The Paseos park, which will be accessible via a linear park that traverses the village. Planned are soccer and T-ball fields, sand volleyball and basketball courts, a playground and lawns. Nearly 120 model homes showcase the available houses, townhomes and condominiums, which are priced from the mid-$200,000s to more than $700,000. Custom-home sites in The Ridges are priced from the $400,000s to more than $1 million. For more information, visit www.reviewjournal.com/real estate and click on the Summerlin link.
