Seascape villas ready in Southern California

Mort and Elaine Rudin were once childhood sweethearts, but found each other again and have been married for nearly 10 years. They recently moved into Greystone Homes' Seascape development within the gated Crystal Cove community in Newport Coast, Calif.

"It took years to decide where we wanted to live, but after only a month at Seascape, we know this is it," said Mort Rudin, managing director of a securities firm. "Greystone Homes is the best home builder we have ever worked with, exceeding our expectations in so many ways and demonstrating professionalism and caring at every level."

Elaine Rudin, a retired registered dietician, agreed.

"Three of the four floor plans would have suited us beautifully, but we couldn't resist the breathtaking coastal views from all the living areas in our Residence Three home. The size and layout are perfect, with extra space in the kitchen, family room and master suite -- the areas we use most -- and a private carriage guest suite over the garage for family and friends. And it's all 150 yards from the water. This is everything we could possibly want ...,"

Avid golfers, the Rudins are also delighted to be near the Pelican Hill Golf Club.

Seascape offers two- and three-story, attached and detached villas, measuring from 2,849 to 4,219 square feet and priced from more than $1 million. The villas can be built with three or four bedrooms and 3 1/2 or 4 1/2 baths plus a two- or three-car garage. Patios, courtyards, decks and terraces are also featured.

Crystal Cove is a planned community being developed by Irvine Community Development Co., a subsidiary of The Irvine Co.

As residents of Seascape, buyers automatically become members of the community association. Monthly association dues maintain the common area facilities. Crystal Cove is part of a Community Facilities District.

To visit, take Interstate 405 to MacArthur Boulevard, then head south toward the ocean. Turn left at Pacific Coast Highway, and drive through Corona del Mar. At Crystal Heights Drive, turn left, pass through the gated entry, and turn right at Sidney Bay Drive. The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
