Residents find perfect fit at Sun City Aliante

George and Ruthe Seminara believe Sun City Aliante in North Las Vegas is the place for them.

"I am really looking forward to retiring next year, so we looked very closely at several communities before choosing Sun City Aliante," George Seminara said. "It truly has everything we were looking for. ...

"The price was right and getting in the community at the ground level really made a difference to us. Plus, the builder is second to none in customer service."

The Seminaras praised the staff of developer Del Webb, saying the relationship provides a level of trust they had never experienced before with a builder.

"Every person associated with the community has been great," Ruthe Seminara said. "When they said they would install the cabinets in our home on a Monday, that's exactly what they did. They always kept their word about the home's construction and had every detail under control. That was very comforting."

Standard features include a choice of exterior designs, front- and rear-yard landscaping, a natural gas barbecue stub in the back yard, a "cocoon" insulation system, and kitchen with recessed lighting and oak cabinets throughout the home.

"We got all of these features in a great home..., Plus, we'll be in a community with people of similar age and interests to our own," Ruthe Seminara said.

The Seminaras said they plan to use the recreation options as much as possible.

"We both like to golf, so we'll be spending a lot of time on the golf course. We'll also be going to the gym often to work out, and like to participate in group sports activities. We're really just looking forward to new friends and fun times," George Seminara said.

The age-qualified community is part of the Aliante master plan. It is being built around an 18-hole municipal golf course. Additional amenities include a recreation center with tennis and bocce courts.

Prices start from the low $150,000s to more than $240,000.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, exit east to Frontage Road, turn right and go to Interstate 215. Head east to Simmons Street, then go north. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
