Ex-Easterners `reunite' at Rossum Realty
Two East Coast natives moved to Las Vegas and accepted positions in the real estate industry within months of one another, and neither knew the other had been a close neighbor for many years in a nearby Pennsylvania town.
Jeanne Schomaker and Paul Schmier, Realtors at Rossum Realty Unlimited, have worked closely together for about ten years.
As Pennsylvania transplants, both Schomaker and Schmier saw the move to Las Vegas as a way to begin a new career. Since their first meeting, they have learned they have many things in common.
Schmier, a former finance and administration executive in the motion picture industry, received his real estate license shortly after the move to Las Vegas. Schomaker, a former education specialist teaching in both the United States and overseas, also received her license shortly after moving to Las Vegas.
"I was looking for a change from working with children when I applied for my real estate license, and I enjoy helping people. Now, I not only get to meet my clients' children, but I also become their friend," Schomaker said. "It's really quite the contrast."
Rossum Realty Unlimited is an independent company now in its 11th year.
The company specializes in every phase of the industry, including residential, land, commercial sales and development.
