Couple laud Centex buying experience

Now that Shanell and Brian Brewer have settled into their new home at Angeline Falls, they say it was the best home-buying experience they've ever had.

"I wouldn't buy from anyone but Centex ever again," Shanell Brewer said. "Everyone made everything happen on time and they really treated us great. I've recommended several people to buy a Centex home."

The gated neighborhood is one of four within the builder's Waterfall community in North Las Vegas.

"When we went to the sales office at Waterfall, (the agents) were really friendly and they always had fresh-baked cookies. My daughter loved that," Brewer said. "They made me feel at home, no matter how many times I came to visit. CTX Mortgage and Commerce Title handled all the details and took everything very seriously. Their professional approach helped lower our stress level immensely throughout the process."

The Brewers selected the 2,860-square-foot La Jolla floor plan.

"I love the openness of the floor plan, and at the same time it's really cozy," she said. "I like to cook, and around holidays we get together and bake. My kitchen is big enough for my mom, grandma and great grandma to all be in there cooking at the same time -- five generations in one kitchen."

She also enjoys her new five-burner cooktop and dishwasher.

"It's so quiet that I can put the kids down to sleep and watch a movie in the living room without waking them up."

The couple's home includes a fireplace within the master suite.

"The balcony is a great place to relax, even if it's only for five minutes," Brewer said.

She pointed out that the recreation center is an ideal benefit.

"My two-year-old and newborn love to go to the park," Brewer said. "And, the recreation center is great for birthday parties, and as they grow up they can learn to swim and hang out with their friends."

Resident amenities include four parks, playgrounds, a children's climbing wall, a water-play area, pool and workout center.

Angeline Falls offers two-story floor plans, ranging from 2,539 to 3,063 square feet with as many as five bedrooms, four baths and three-car garages. Casitas are optional. Prices start from the $430,000s.

Homes at Aberdeen Falls are all two-story designs. They range from 2,454 to 3,807 square feet with as many as seven bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths and three-car garages. Prices start in the low $400,000s.

Latourell Falls offers single-story homes ranging from 1,955 to 2,756 square feet with as many as four bedrooms and three-car garages. Highlights include great rooms with 11-foot ceilings, morning rooms and casitas. Prices start from $380,000.

Isabel Falls offers single-story layouts as large as 2,227 square feet with as many as three bedrooms and three baths. Also featured are morning rooms and covered patios. Dual master suites are optional. Homes are priced from the mid-$300,000s.

Centex offers mortgage and financial services, home services, title and escrow service, insurance coverage and a design studio.

Buyers who finance through the builder's lender will receive $5,000 off closing costs.

The Dallas-based company was founded in 1950, and operates in 25 states.
