Model homes open at Mira Monte, Sorrento

Model homes have opened at two new neighborhoods at Lake Las Vegas Resort in Henderson. Amstar Homes' Mira Monte is located at SouthShore, while Sorrento, a MarQuis-Centex neighborhood, is on the northern shore of the resort's private lake.

Thirteen single-story waterfront villas remain at Mira Monte, which offers floor plans ranging from 2,867 to 3,119 square feet. Priced from $1.45 million, these homes provide casitas, fountain courtyards, golf cart garages and private docks.

Sorrento, which was not open for presales, is comprised of 53 single- and two-story golf course homes. Features include great rooms, butler's pantries, wine or china storage, fireplaces with cast-stone surrounds, casitas, and courtyards. Floor plans range from 3,000 to 4,850 square feet. Prices start from the $600,000s.

Professional designers are available at both neighborhoods to assist buyers.

Resort amenities include a Moroccan-themed Hyatt Regency, two Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses, a yacht and beach club, and concierge service. MonteLago Village, which is under construction, will offer myriad dining and shopping opportunities.

Mira Monte and Sorrento offer model-home tours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Appointments are recommended.

To visit, take Lake Mead Drive, seven miles east of Boulder Highway, to Lake Las Vegas Parkway.
