Youngsters invited to join `Big Egg Hunt' in Seven Hills
SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE Preparations are well under way for next Saturday's Big Egg Hunt in Seven Hills, hosted by the community's builders and its developer, Silver Canyon Partnership. They want everyone to know that they have been working closely with the Easter Bunny to ensure the annual event goes off without a hitch. The public is invited to Sonata Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to search for thousands of eggs -- all of which will be filled with goodies -- that will have been hidden by the Easter Bunny and his friends. Youngsters can bring their own baskets, or collect eggs in bags that will be provided. The festivities will also include music, dancing, balloon artists, face painters, a Best Easter Hat contest, games and prizes. And, of course, the Easter Bunny will be available for photographs. In addition, all visitors who bring a canned food item for donation to charity will receive a special gift. Refreshments will also be available. To reach the park, take Interstate 215 to Eastern Avenue then head south to St. Rose Parkway. Head west about a mile to Seven Hills Parkway then go south. Dan Naef, vice president of community development, said the egg hunt is one of several special events at the community. "This year, we've had a number of successful community events, including our recent Kite Day 2001. During the summer months, we will also be sponsoring two free outdoor concerts with the city of Henderson. A Fourth of July picnic and celebration and a Labor Day barbecue are also planned." Such events are key to the community in Henderson, according to Naef. "With approximately 1,200 families now living in Seven Hills, we are seeing more and more people come out to enjoy these events, meet their neighbors and form new friendships within their community," he said. Dozens of models are open, and offer more than 45 floor plans priced from the low $140,000s to $350,000. Custom lots are priced from $190,000 to more than $1 million. Neighborhoods open for sales are: Renaissance and Crescendo by Pardee Homes; Capistrano, Palermo West and Naples by Kimball Hill Homes; Palazzo Monte by U.S. Home; Meridiana by Trident Homes; the Venezia and Terracina custom neighborhoods by Silver Canyon Partnership; and Corcovado and Portofino Custom Homesites by Nevastar Investment Corp. Villa Villagio by Astoria Homes is planned. All sales offices are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
