Attention to detail impresses Montana buyers
When hotel executive Michael Schilling silently observed workers framing his new Pardee home in the Montana neighborhood at Shadow Mountain Ranch, he was impressed by the building supervisor. "He didn't know I was watching, but he put a level on every beam, not every other beam. One beam didn't suit him, and he had the worker redo it. Now that is what I call quality building. I appreciate that they would take that much care," Schilling said. "What really sold us on this house was the kitchen. This is a gourmet kitchen and I love to cook. After searching everywhere in the valley, we walked into the Plan Two model at Montana and within literally minutes, we were making a deal. It was that quick." The neighborhood features four one- and two-story designs, ranging from 2,440 to 3,000 square feet and priced from $155,950 to $197,950. They offer as many as four bedrooms, three baths and an optional four-car garage in two plans. Schilling's wife, Karen, said she was impressed with the southwestern valley's neighborhood setting, which is situated close to the Spring Mountains. To visit, take Tropicana Avenue west, past Durango Drive, to Grand Canyon Drive and turn left. Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m. Pardee Homes has built more than 25,000 homes in Southern Nevada over 50 years.
