Buyers set sights on US Home's Steeplechase
Lourdes and Ed DeMarco are delighted with their home-buying experience at US Home. The couple recently purchased a home on a half-acre lot in Steeplechase, a gated neighborhood in the northwestern valley. "The service has been outstanding. Everyone ... made the entire experience of developing and designing our new home a real pleasure," Ed DeMarco said. After reviewing the neighborhood's eight single-story designs and four two-story plans, the couple chose the expanded Brentwood model with 3,000 square feet. All of the floor plans can be expanded. Lourdes DeMarco especially enjoyed visiting the builder's design center. "We decided on neutral earth tones that make it easy to decorate," she said. "Soft beiges and natural colors were incorporated into the paint colors; granite counters; and stone and tile floorings, accents and carpeting." The couple enjoy entertaining, so they opted for a media niche in the family room and a three-way fireplace as a part of the dividing wall between the family room and formal living room. Their kitchen has a bar counter with seating for eight. "We love ... to have family and friends over. The main living areas are just so well designed," Ed DeMarco said. "Having the spare and guest bedrooms separated from the master suite really makes our guests ... feel very comfortable. Everyone has their own space." The DeMarcos each have a home office -- hers is in the master-suite retreat and his is in the bonus room. DeMarco said he plans to add a two-car garage at the rear of his property. "That's the great thing about having a half-acre home site," he said. "There is plenty of room for a pool, a play area for (son) Zachary, yard space and my detached garage." Homes at Steeplechase are priced from the mid-$260,000s. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Ann Road and exit east. Proceed to Jones Boulevard, then go north to Grand Teton Drive and turn left. The sales office is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m. The builder also has homes available in the northwest area at Copperfield, where homes are priced from the $215,000s. In the southwest is Stillwater Canyon, with prices from the mid-$250,000s; Palomino Canyon, with prices from the $170,000s; and Aberdeen at Southern Highlands, with prices starting from the $270,000s. Palazzo Monte is located within the Seven Hills community in Henderson, and has homes priced from the $290,000s. Through April 30, the builder is offering its "$10,000 in Options for Just $1,000" promotion at all of its neighborhoods.
