Christopher hosts open house at Lake Las Vegas Resort

Christopher Homes celebrates the grand opening of a luxury residence today in the Lake Las Vegas Resort community from noon to 4 p.m.

Visitors can tour the home, and the builder's custom-home personnel will be available. Refreshments will be provided.

For a limited time only, the buyer of the home and the participating sales agent will each be provided with a two-year lease on a 2002 S-type Jaguar, according to Mark Stuhmer, vice president of the builder's custom-home division.

"We thought a Jaguar would be perfect gift to reflect the level of luxury of this magnificent residence," Stuhmer said. The $1.699 million, 4,784-square-foot home is located in the SouthShore neighborhood of Barcelona, which is adjacent to the SouthShore Golf Club. The home offers lake and mountain views.

There are three bedrooms, a home office/library, an exercise room, 3 1/2 baths, a wet bar, balcony and covered patio. The landscaping includes a custom-designed swimming pool and spa.

Other features include an enclosed courtyard with a fireplace, front- and rear-yard landscaping, stone flooring, maple cabinetry, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and audio/video pre-wiring. It also has custom paint and many built-ins.

To visit the open house, take Lake Mead Drive, seven miles east of Boulder Highway, to Lake Las Vegas Parkway. Turn right on Grand Mediterra Boulevard, and proceed to the SouthShore entrance. Further directions will be provided.

The builder's custom-home division has about 30 homes under way in communities throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
