Seven custom homes ready for sale at MacDonald Highlands

The MacDonald Highlands luxury hillside community in Henderson has seven custom homes available for purchase, including two homes that are part of the Street of Dreams event, which will run from May 4 to June 16.

DragonRidge Custom Homes is offering three homes for sale along the DragonRidge golf course. The three- and four-bedroom homes range from 5,100 to 5,500 square feet and feature exterior stone detailing, home theaters and other amenities. They are priced from $1,999,000 to $2,195,000.

Another home, built on the hillside, is priced at $2,750,000; and the two homes for sale that are in the Street of Dreams show measure 5,400 and 8,200 square feet and are priced at $1,999,000 and $3,450,000, respectively.

"These custom offerings represent a variety of home designs and locations, including stunning views of the golf course and magnificent hillside locations and views," said Rich MacDonald, president of MacDonald Cos. "In addition, the homes are filled with luxury amenities including swimming pools and spas and surrounded by mature landscaping."

Upon completion, the guard-gated community will comprise 17 neighborhoods covering 1,200 acres. Currently, there are 10 custom-home neighborhoods under development offering a variety of views. Lots are priced from $159,000 to more than $2 million.

Custom-home neighborhoods include The Highlands, Lochmere, Palisades, Lairmont, Montrose, Lochinver Ridge and Glenbrook Canyon. Stonehaven at MacDonald Highlands features semicustom homes by Toll Bros.

The DragonRidge Golf Club incorporates the natural slopes and arroyos of the surrounding desert mountains into its design.

The DragonRidge clubhouse, scheduled for completion early next year, will feature a golf shop, exercise facility, swimming pool, upscale dining room, and separate mixed grill and lounge. A temporary clubhouse is open and tee times are available.

Three community parks, encompassing 10 acres, are planned to feature tennis, basketball and volleyball courts; play areas; and picnic facilities. Fitness and nature trails are also part of the design.

The 2002 Street of Dreams event will be the first to feature terraced hillside custom homes. Four homes will be showcased, each featuring designs that take advantage of the sloping hillside lots and city views.

Information is available at the community's sales office at 1700 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 100.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive and travel south to Horizon Ridge Parkway.

The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
