Rhodes Homes X-it offers flexible designs

Providing an urban, contemporary design in a suburban southwestern valley setting, Rhodes Homes' X-it offers three floor plans, with each plan named for its square footage.

Plan 1759 is the development's largest design. Offering two bedrooms 3 1/2 baths, the plan includes a bonus room, second-floor terrace and two-car garage.

"We designed the 1759 for people that might want a first-floor home office that was located away from the majority of the living space in the home," said Glynda Rhodes, vice president of interior and architectural design for Rhodes Homes.

"The room also includes a full bathroom and a spacious closet, making it a perfect additional bedroom."

The second level offers an open layout with great room, kitchen, half bath, dining area and an outdoor terrace.

"The second story's wide-open appearance is enhanced by numerous oversized windows and a sliding glass door leading outside," said Rhodes, who is also president of i.d. Interior Design, the company responsible for interior design at X-it.

"This design style is what gives the home its urban edge, with the living space feeling very much like a loft you might find in San Francisco or New York."

The home's primary bedrooms are found at the third level, where dual suites include expanded bath and closets in both rooms. The master bedroom offers a two-room bath with dual sinks and walk-in closet.

Floor plans range from 1,663 to 1,759 square feet. The three level residences include two-car garage, first-level courtyard and a terrace at the second level.

Prices begin in the high $200,000s.

The residences come standard with granite countertops, kitchen pantry, Moen faucets and Shaker-style cabinetry. Raised-panel interior doors with chrome handles and surround-sound prewiring in the great room are standard.

Each design meets or exceeds Energy Star ratings, according to the builder, with blown-in cellulose insulation, low-e windows, programmable thermostats and 40-gallon gas water heaters.

A 2,400-square-foot residents facility and clubhouse will offer a multi-purpose recreation room, exercise room, full kitchen and lounge/media area. The contemporary building will also provide access for the residents to the pool, spa and deck area.

The development is located near Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, and offers a short commute to the Strip, shopping, hospitals and dining.

To reach the development from the south, take the Beltway west to Tropicana Avenue. Head east on Tropicana.

X-it is located on the northeast corner of Tropicana and the Beltway. Visitors from the north can take the Beltway east and exit at Tropicana, heading east.

Office and model hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
