Christopher continues show home tour

Christopher Homes is continuing the tour of its 10,000-square-foot, $7.5 million show home in The Enclave custom-home neighborhood at Southern Highlands Golf Club.

Erika Geiser, vice president of marketing for the builder, said the tour was scheduled to close weeks ago, but has been extended due to popular demand.

"The basis in the creation of this custom home was a series of focus groups that revealed the desires of today's wealthiest and most sophisticated home buyers. The result is the most opulent and interesting custom show home ever built in Southern Nevada," Geiser said.

Tours are offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, and are open to visitors 12 and older for donations of $10 per person; all proceeds go to Candlelighters for Childhood Cancer of Southern Nevada.

Features of the home include four courtyards, an indoor sports court, a theater, wellness center, sky room, seven fireplaces and 10 baths.

The show home is one of 18 custom residences that will be built in the gated neighborhood.

Homes will measure from about 5,000 to more than 10,000 square feet, many on sites that align the golf course.

Prices are expected to range from about $1.5 million to more than $8 million.

Each buyer will be eligible to receive a golf club membership to Southern Highlands Golf Club, upon application approval.

Mark Stuhmer, vice president of the builder's custom-home division, said the primary focus at the neighborhood will be to simplify the home-building process.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to the Henderson/Lake Mead exit, head west and follow the signs.
