Buyer finds Sun City Aliante `irresistible'
After living in the same home for 25 years, Cynthia Carpenter, a Burbank, Calif. native, said she found Del Webb's Sun City Aliante irresistible and moved to the desert. "I decided to make a change of scenery and Sun City Aliante has some pretty good scenery," Carpenter said. She was the second homeowner to move into the master-planned community in North Las Vegas. Carpenter purchased a 1,576-square-foot Laurel model with two bedrooms, two baths, a den and a great room. Options include a detached casita and covered patio. "I really liked the open kitchen and the great room in the Laurel model. The best feature in the whole house is the enormous walk-in closet in the master bedroom. I have far too many shoes and clothes, but this closet fits them all," Carpenter said. She said she is excited about her new adventure in her new home and community. "Del Webb's reputation, combined with the ability to move in quickly, made the decision an easy one. I knew I couldn't go wrong. It was one of the easiest and most pleasant experiences I've had. It was a completely smooth process." According to Carpenter, one of the first items of business in her new home is to find inspiration for her poetry. She also said she would like to serve on the homeowners association's board of directors. "I find that type of governance to be quite interesting," she said. Seven designs are offered in the builder's Wildflower, Cypress and Preserve collections. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, exit east to Frontage Road, turn right and go to Interstate 215. Head east to Simmons Street, then go north. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
