Solera's amenities attract buyers
Sam and Arlene Kaminsky said the included features and streamlined purchasing process convinced them to be among the first buyers at Del Webb's newest age-qualified neighborhood, Solera at Anthem. "The home-buying process at Solera was created to be streamlined and convenient for the home buyer," sales manager R. Wayne Wermuth said. "That's what we wanted. All the amenities we needed were already included, so we didn't have to select a lot of option add-ons," Arlene Kaminsky said. Standard amenities include ceramic-tile flooring, nooks and energy-efficiency features such as low-e windows and a cocoon insulation system, which were especially appreciated by the Kaminskys. The couple, who moved to Las Vegas from Los Angeles five years ago, also said they were looking for an adult community with a variety of social activities. "Many of our friends live in Sun City Summerlin, and they just love it. They're like kids at camp. We wanted that type of experience, living in an age-qualified community with people who have similar interests," she said. Proposed amenities include a fitness center, swimming pool, club and hobby rooms, billiard tables, tennis and bocce courts, and computer and craft rooms. The Kaminskys purchased a 1,716-square-foot Whitney model, which features three bedrooms, two baths, a great room, dining room, kitchen nook and rear patio. Located within the Anthem master-planned community in Henderson, the neighborhood will have 1,750 homes at buildout. Four plans ranging from 1,140 to 1,771 square feet are offered. Prices range from the high-$160,000s to the mid-$200,000s. To visit the presales office, take Eastern Avenue south to Anthem Parkway, turn left and proceed to 2246 Somersworth Drive, which is across from a fire station. The office is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
