Local family settles in at Maryland Heights
Cathy Cooney and her two daughters, Julie and Erica, started off the New Year by choosing a home at Richmond American's Maryland Heights neighborhood in the southeastern valley. "I did not want to uproot the girls in the middle of the year and it was important for all of us that they stay where they were familiar and happy," Cathy Cooney said. "Maryland Heights was a perfect location for what we were looking for." The Cooneys moved into the 2,019-square-foot, two-story Laguna Plan, which includes four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, and a two-car garage. It is priced in the low $200,000s. "The Laguna plan was a very livable arrangement," Cathy Cooney said. "I enjoyed that the garage was set back from the front of the house and that the bedrooms were situated upstairs." Four floor plans are offered. Each has an option for a covered patio. The Cambria is a 1,608-square-foot plan that includes three bedrooms, two baths, and a two-car garage. It is priced in the $180,000s. Starting in the $190,000s is the 1,800-square-foot Monticeto, which contains three bedrooms, two baths, and a two-car garage. An optional master retreat is offered in place of the third bedroom. The Newport is a four-bedroom, three-bath, and two-car garage plan that starts in the low $200,000s. It measures 2,059 square feet and offers an optional master retreat. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Eastern Avenue, turn west onto Silverado Ranch Boulevard, and then head south on Maryland Parkway. Go west onto Pyle Avenue, and south onto Escondido Street. Models and the sales office are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except on Monday and Friday, when they open at noon.
