-- Las Ventanas has named Marilynn Maus to be a senior living counselor on its marketing team. She has 14 years experience. Previously, she was with the Edgemere life care community in Dallas, where she served as concierge supervisor. Maus has also held positions with New York Life Group Insurance and Home Life Insurance. -- Astoria Homes has promoted Sia Howe to vice president of marketing. Previously, she was marketing director for the company, where she has worked for four years. Howe oversees all merchandising of the builder's model complexes and sales offices, as well as its advertising, marketing and public relations efforts. -- Grubb & Ellis named Eric Berggren to be a retail advisor. He began his career at the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where he was a licensed member of the commodity industry. -- Grubb & Ellis brokers Michael R. Kammerling and David R. Scherer have each been awarded the Circle of Excellence designation for 2003. The designation recognizes the company's top 100 advisors nationwide, inclusive of affiliates and company-owned locations, based on annual gross production. -- Mike and Terry Patton, owners of Help-U-Sell Real Estate Solutions, received the Don Taylor Office Award at the company's recent annual convention in Las Vegas. -- Toll Bros. has been named to the Forbes Platinum 400, known as Forbes magazine's roster of the 400 best big companies in America.
