Christopher caters to buyers

Luxury-home buyers at The Villas and The Christopher Collection within the guard-gated Southern Highlands Golf Club can choose from 21 residential designs, along with numerous customizing options, according to Kimberly Heese, a sales agent for developer Christopher Homes.

"The flexibility and customizing choices we offer enable our buyers to achieve a level of luxury and individuality that would generally be impossible, other than through building a custom home," Heese said. "Our specialty is helping each buyer create the home of their dreams for a fraction of the cost and time they would have to invest in designing and building a custom home."

The Villas offers eight designs ranging from 1,983 to 3,400 square feet that are priced from the low $500,000s. Select one-story plans can be expanded to two stories, while the two-story design can be expanded to three stories.

Most of the homes are situated on cul-de-sacs, and front-yard landscaping is handled through the association.

The Christopher Collection features 13 single- and two-story designs measuring from 3,072 to 6,200 square feet; they are priced from the low $600,000s to more than $1 million. Home sites average about one-quarter acre.

Available options include elevators, motor courts, courtyard fireplaces, casitas, room additions, four-car garages, extra baths, bonus rooms, libraries, wine cellars and wet bars.

Both neighborhoods offer views of the golf course, city and mountains. Buyers at each receive membership to Southern Highlands Golf Club, upon application approval.

"Our homeowners have the luxury of a manned, 24-hour guarded entrance, roving security, a championship golf course and a luxurious health spa -- all just minutes from their doorsteps," Heese said.

The community's golf course is complemented by a 42,000-square-foot clubhouse that offers dining, a golf library, wine room, locker rooms and a pro shop.

The Spa at Southern Highlands is a 13,000-square-foot private facility that features treatment and steam rooms, a fitness center, an exercise and yoga studio, training areas, lighted tennis courts, a swimming pool, spa, cabanas, manicure and pedicure stations, and a children's pool and play area.

Christopher also is building The Enclave in Southern Highlands Golf Club, a gated neighborhood of 16 custom homes that will range from about 5,000 to 10,000 square feet and be valued from about $2 million to $7.5 million. Home sites measure from about one-third acre to three-quarters of an acre. Buyers will receive a golf membership to the country club, upon application approval.
