Ex-Californians buy Christopher home

Rick and Kellie Sanciangco looked at many neighborhoods in Summerlin before deciding that Christopher Homes' Country Rose Estates offered the perfect floor plan and location for their family.
The guard-gated neighborhood is adjacent to The Trails Park and across from The Trails Community Center.
One- and two-story designs are available, ranging from 2,358 to 3,650 square feet.
The homes feature a traditional design with brick and stone exteriors, front porches, tree-lined streets and two neighborhood parks.
Before moving to their new home, the Sanciangcos and their three children lived in the San Francisco Bay area.
"In moving here, I traded a daily two-hour commute for a 30-minute commute," Rick Sanciangco said. "I was able to coach my daughter's soccer team last year, which I could never have done with my former commute. This spring, I also plan to coach my son's tee-ball team."
Kellie Sanciangco said while location was important, it was not the sole reason for their selection of the neighborhood.
"We came down from California for two days to look for a home, and we looked at every neighborhood in Summerlin," she said. "We were looking for quality, which we found here at Country Rose Estates."
      Prices start from $243,900.
In conjunction with the approaching final phase at the neighborhood, the builder is offering specials worth $5,000 on select homes. The specials give buyers a shopping spree in the builder's design center, where all buyers receive free consultation with interior designers.
To visit, take Summerlin Parkway to Town Center Drive and turn right. Follow the road to Trails Center Drive, head west to Spring Gate Lane and follow the signs. The office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
