Del Webb adds attached homes to lineup at Sun City Anthem

     Buyers seeking a low-maintenance lifestyle in an age-restricted environment will find it at Sun City Anthem in Henderson, according to Jim Bond, senior sales manager.
      "There is virtually no homeowner maintenance to the exterior of the duplex homes," Bond said. "Outside landscaping is provided and maintained, trash removal is covered, and insurance for inside and outside the home, except personal property, is provided for Garden Villa homeowners."
      There are two models from which to choose at the complex.
      The Madison plan offers an owner bedroom, an extended bedroom/den, two baths and a covered patio. The home measures 1,371 square feet and is priced from the mid-$140,000s. The Franklin plan, which measures 1,511 square feet, offers similar features and is priced from the low $150,000s.
      "Because there are only three walls exposed to the elements, Garden Villa homes tend to have greater energy efficiency," Bond said. "That feature has the potential to save a homeowner money on utility bills."
      Twelve other single-family homes are available, and range from 1,235 to 3,000 square feet. Prices start from the low $140,000s to the low $280,000s.
      The Anthem master plan also comprises Anthem Country Club and Coventry Homes at Anthem. Development plans include city parks, cultural sites, hiking trails and softball fields. It covers 4,800 acres and will feature 12,000 homes at buildout.
      The community is on Eastern Avenue, about two miles south of Lake Mead Drive. Models are open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
