Contractors, builders
to meet for lunch
The local chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors is holding its monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Palace Station hotel.
David Bush, contractor and national president of the group, will speak on labor. Members may display information about their companies.

course offered
Americana Group, Realtors/Better Homes and Gardens is holding a free home-buying seminar at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the firm's office at 2625 N. Green Valley Parkway, behind Chili's Grill and Bar.
Topics include learning the facts before you buy and how to avoid mistakes in buying a home.

Seminar to address
broker skills
The Las Vegas Cash Flow Association is hosting a three-hour advanced broker seminar at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Residence Inn, 3225 Paradise Road.
Guest speakers Jay Atkins, executive vice president of Sun Capital; and Marc Marin, business development manager of Sun Capital, will discuss marketing, advanced presentation skills and factoring mechanics.
Cash flow professionals, factoring brokers, note brokers, investors and real estate professionals are invited to attend.
Members attend for free; the cost for nonmembers is $15.

Counseling service
holds buyer courses
Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern Nevada is hosting free home-buyer seminars through April.
Classes in English will be held Tuesday and April 20, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. Another session will meet Wednesday, April 14 and 21, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. A third session will be held April 17 and 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A course in Spanish is scheduled for April 12 and 19, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Participants must attend all 12 hours for a Certificate of Education.
Topics include building and improving credit, obtaining a mortgage, real estate disclosure and homeowners associations.
Classes are held in the credit service's offices, 3650 S. Decatur Blvd., Suite 32.
