     n Del Webb Corp. has expanded the executive responsibilities of Frank Pankratz, senior vice president and general manager of Sun Cities Las Vegas, to include the company's Northern California operations. They comprise Sun City Roseville and Sun City Lincoln Hills in the Sacramento region; and Clover Springs, an adult community in Sonoma County. Pankratz joined the company in 1987, and has served as president of the Foothills master plan in Phoenix, executive vice president and chief administrative oficer of the real estate group, corporate senior vice president of the adult division in California, and general manager of Sun City Palm Desert in California. Del Webb also announced the promotion of senior vice president for planning and development Jack Gleason, and senior vice president and chief financial officer John Spencer, each to the rank of executive vice president for corporate operations.
      n Del Webb Corp. has appointed Chris Haines to the post of general manager of Anthem Country Club. Since joining the company seven years ago, Haines has held a number of sales and marketing posts, among them vice president of sales and marketing for the Terravita golf and country club community in Scottsdale, Ariz., and most recently vice president of sales and marketing for the three Las Vegas area Sun Cities.
      n PNC Mortgage Corp. has appointed Mark Moody to the post of loan officer. Moody, who will specialize in construction loans, was most recently a real estate loan officer for Community Bank of Nevada. He has 10 years experience in mortgage banking and commercial banking.
      n The Southern Nevada chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties has named Colliers International's Daniel J. Doherty as Industrial Broker of the Year. Doherty is senior vice president of industrial properties at Colliers' Las Vegas office and is a member of the firm's board of directors. Eligibility was based on the dollar value of transactions and participation in chapter and national-level activities. In 1998, Doherty completed 96 transactions that totaled more than $48 million. He served as 1998 chapter program chairman, 1999 membership chairman, and was elected to the chapter's 1998/1999 board of directors.
      n Insight Realty Associates has appointed Carlos Huerta to the post of land specialist and investment advisor. Huerta previously was employed by Becker Realty. He earned his degree in business administration and finance at the University of Miami in Florida.
      n ATI Title of Nevada has appointed Doug Hansen to the post of vice president of sales and marketing. He joined the company in 1998, after a 15-year stint with a wholesale supply company in Omaha, Neb., where he was director of information services marketing. Before entering sales, he was an assistant trainer for the Miami Dolphins football team. He earned his degree in athletic training and education at the University of South Dakota.
      n The public relations firm of MassMedia has appointed Ann Marie Kluza to the post of public relations coordinator. Kluza was most recently in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Panama City, Fla. A senior at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, she is studying for a degree in communications.
      n The Alexandria, Va.-based Community Associations Institute has elected Stephen R. Bupp of Greenbelt, Md., as 1999 chairman. Ellen Hirsch de Haan of Clearwater, Fla., is chairman-elect. Also elected, are Richard S. Ekimoto of Honolulu, vice president; Maryjane Moore of Nashua, N.H., secretary; and Thomas F. Ward of Atlanta, treasurer. All began serving a one-year term March 1.
      n Pulte Home Corp.'s William Pulte of Royal Oak, Mich.; and W.L. Homes' H. Lawrence Webb of Irvine, Calif., are the 1999 Legends of Residential Marketing chosen by the National Sales and Marketing Council. Pulte is one of Southern Nevada's leading builders; while W.L. Homes was formed by the merger of Britain's John Laing Homes and Watt Homes, based in Encino, Calif. Watt Homes is an established builder in Southern Nevada.
      n Terra West Property Management has appointed Sharon Plotkin an executive in its Homeowners Association Property Management Division. Plotkin has 15 years' experience in community association management.
      n Realty Executives' Soozi Jones represented R&R Plaza in the five-year lease of 2,620 square feet at 8084 W. Sahara Ave. to Metamorphosis Diet Plans for $251,520. Prudential Southwest Realty's Sharon Frei represented the tenant. Jones also represented R&R plaza in the one-year lease of 540 square feet to Wesley J. Robertson for $11,400. ReMax Absolute's Kevin Straub represented the tenant.
      n NAI Americana Commercial's Kathy Campbell and Janet Goldstein represented City Center West Development in the five-year lease of 12,000 square feet at 7201 W. Lake Mead Blvd. to Sprint International for $1.33 million. In another transaction, Arlene Nehls-Goldich and Curtis Sanders represented both parties in the five-year lease of 12,000 square feet at 5901 Emerald Ave. by Jon Rhine to Rhonda Dynstan and Raymond Shamlian for $450,000. In another transaction, Shirley Hildreth represented Saxton Inc. in the five-year lease of 13,500 square feet at 4436 Lawrence St. to Source 4 Industries for $413,100. In another transaction, Harry Choi represented Young Youhne in the sale of a 2,000-square-foot property at 7908 Bridge Gate Drive to Sukja Cha for $194,000.
      n Marcus & Millichap's Christopher Bentley and William Kennedy represented both parties in the sale of the 200-unit Sun Chase Apartments at 3200 McLeod Drive by Legacy Partners to Sun Chase Apartments Co. for $8.9 million.
      n CB Richard Ellis' Randy Broadhead represented Summergate Inc. in the five-year lease of 11,860 square feet at 7674 W. Lake Mead Blvd. to Visionquest Worldwide for $1.24 million. In another transaction, Broadhead represented Jalmar Properties in the five-year lease of 2,795 square feet at 2080 E. Flamingo Road to Ronald C. Ruppert for $285,000.
      n The MDL Group's Austin Bikle represented the Edward B. Cantor Trust in the one-year lease of 1,093 square feet at 4420 S. Arville St. to Heartwicks for $9,325. In another transaction, Bikle represented the Edward B. Cantor Trust in the five-year lease of 1,080 square feet at 4420 S. Arville to Minutos Italian Deli for $45,745. Bikle represented the Edward B. Cantor Trust in the two-year lease of 2,744 square feet at 4420 S. Arville St. to E&R Electric for $36,276.
      n CB Richard Ellis' Lisa Gonzales negotiated the five-year lease of 4,503 square feet at 5740 Eastern Ave. by McCarran Corporate Plaza to Carollo Engineers for $485,000.
      n The MDL Group's Tim Behrendt represented White Sands Plaza, 4310 E. Tropicana Ave., in the one-year lease of 5,272 square feet to NOS Communications for $56,937. Realty Executives' Richard Orosell represented NOS Communications.
      n CB Richard Ellis' Kevin Higgins represented the Las Vegas Review-Journal in the four-year lease of 9,188 square feet at 3585 Patrick Lane from EJM Development Co. for $240,000. Higgins negotiated the two-year lease of 8,464 square feet at 3585 Patrick Lane by EJM Development Co. to Design Showcase Interior for $105,000. In another transaction, Higgins and Paul Hoyt negotiated the five-year lease of 3,562 square feet at 4301 S. Valley View Blvd. by Terra Grandis to Certified Folder Display Service for $110,000. Hoyt also negotiated the five-year lease of 7,800 square feet at 3555 W. Reno Ave. by Prologis Trust to JFC International for $265,000.
      n Lee & Associates' Shawn Barashy, David Howes and Stephen Spelman represented Meadow 100 in the 10-year lease of 19,500 square feet at 100 W. Carey Ave. to Potato and Vegetable Express for $1.1 million. In another transaction, Spelman and Mel Koich represented Pacific Industrial Center in the five-year lease of 10,450 square feet at 1175A American Pacific Drive to Q.E.D. for $350,185.
      n Colliers International's Dan Doherty and Jennifer English negotiated the sale of a 5,778-square-foot building located at 4572 W. Hacienda Ave. by Hacienda & Cameron Co. to Menna Trust for $496,908. In another transaction, Doherty and English negotiated the three-year lease of 1,962 square feet at 6000 S. Eastern Ave. by SF Nevada Co. to Electronic Specialists for $51,216. The two also negotiated the five-year lease of 3,839 square feet located at 6000 S. Eastern Ave. by SF Nevada Co. to Basic Need Co. for $180,158.
