KB Home provides haven for athletic family in Summerlin

Farid Moucavi-Amine has a family on the go. With three children involved in sports activities, his new KB home in Summerlin is his haven.

"When we came to look at KB's Portofino community here in Summerlin, it was still in the development stages," Moucavi-Amine said. "Our sales associate pointed out towards the horizon at a spot in the desert and I said `I'll take it.' My experiences with KB Home have been so good that I didn't need to see the models or sales office. I just wanted to see the location."

Moucavi-Amine plays soccer at Summerlin's Crossings Park four nights a week and his daughter, Victoria, plays soccer on community youth teams.

The neighborhood has since closed out. This is the second home that he has purchased from the builder.

"Our first home in Las Vegas was also a KB home in Summerlin. When our family grew and we wanted a bigger home, we knew KB Home would give us great value for our money," he said. "In fact, before we moved to Las Vegas, we looked at KB Home communities near Paris, France, where I'm from. That was our first exposure to their homes and we quite liked them."

He has been impressed by the builder's customer service.

"For a developer as large as KB Home, the personal service and pleasantness of everyone on their team is important. Many big developers forget about their customers and providing individual service," Moucavi-Amine said. "Even my small questions about a squeak in the floor were handled with utmost importance."

One-stop shopping is offered at the 22,000-square-foot KB Home Studio, located just south of Warm Springs Road at 7440 S. Industrial Road, Suite 201. Its Homebuyers Club offers potential clients free assistance including credit reports, a review of their financial situation and credit counseling.

The builder also operates in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and France.
