Traveler finds right home at Sun City Anthem
For traveler and jet salesman Chuck Thomas, Del Webb's Anthem master plan in Henderson is altitudes above the rest of the valley. "Selling preowned aircraft in sixteen of the Western United States, as well as the Far East keeps me traveling quite a bit. Las Vegas, and specifically Sun City Anthem, is a great home base because of its proximity to McCarran International Airport and the benefits of living in Anthem," he said. After buying and selling two homes in the builder's Anthem Country Club, Thomas purchased a 1,712-square-foot Carolina design at Sun City Anthem for his mother, Pat Thomas. Later, he purchased a 2,722-square-foot Trenton design for himself. Thomas' home features dual master suites, 3 1/2 baths, a great room, dining room, kitchen nook, den, courtyard, covered patio, two-car garage, golf-cart storage and optional expanded casita. "My mom has a great view of the Las Vegas Strip, and my new home is right on the golf course," he said. "Del Webb homes are so rewarding to own because of the built-in amenities. ... I truly believe Del Webb's Anthem homes have higher value than those on the valley floor." The homes have the builder's Environments For Living technology, have been recognized as Energy Star homes by the Environmental Protection Agency, and offer a three-year heating and cooling energy-use guarantee. Community amenities include The Revere at Anthem Golf Club and Anthem Center. Ten additional plans ranging from 1,496 to 3,175 square feet are available. Homes are priced from the high $360,000s to the mid-$600,000s. To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past St. Rose Parkway, turn left on Anthem Parkway and then turn right on Alexandria Drive. Models are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today and until 6 p.m. daily starting Sunday.
