Clubs prove popular at Red Rock

     More than 400 families have purchased the various types of club memberships that are available at Red Rock Country Club in Summerlin, according to Janet Evans, membership director.
      "As the club continues to mature, our membership prices will only increase. Members who join early have the opportunity to enjoy the club's wonderful amenities at a lower price," Evans said.
      Available memberships are social and swim, sports, executive and golf. Each is a family membership, which includes full privileges for spouses and children.
      Community amenities include an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Arnold Palmer, who is also designing the second course; an aquatic center with several pools and an outdoor grill; a tennis facility with nine lighted, hard-surface courts; and a sports club with health and fitness equipment, locker rooms and play area.
      The gatehouse is manned 24-hours a day.
      Floor plans range from 2,100 to 8,000 square feet with as many as six bedrooms and a four-car garage. The single- and two-story homes are priced from the low $300,000s to more than $1 million.
      Design-center services are available.
      To visit, take Sahara Avenue west, past Town Center Drive, to Red Rock Ranch Road and turn left. Turn right at Red Springs Drive. The sales office and model homes are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
