Sun City Anthem forms computer club for residents

Del Webb Corp.'s Sun City Anthem recently formed a new club to help its residents become computer savvy.
Beginner classes cover e-mail, word processing, spread sheets and the Internet, and they are geared for people with little or no computer experience.
"Communicating with family and friends through electronic means and staying up with the times is important," John Apple, club president, said. "It gives you a real sense of accomplishment to find out you can use the computer as a tool for things like shopping, reservations and research.
The recreation center's computer area, opening this week, will include several personal computers.
Sun City Anthem offers 15 models, ranging from 1,235 to 3,009 square feet. Homes are priced from the high $140,000s to more than $500,000.
To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past Lake Mead Drive. Models are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
