Class sharpens
selling skills
The Southern Nevada Home Builders Association will present the "Certified New Homes Sales Program" from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on 12 dates this month.
It begins Monday, and all classes will be held at the Southern Nevada School of Real Estate, 3441 W. Sahara Ave.
Attendees will learn how to increase sales, sharpen sales skills and enhance their professional image.
The cost is $350 for association members and $550 for nonmembers.

Seminar examines
selling process
United Title Co., Summit Appraisal and Northern Pacific Mortgage present "For Sale By Owner," a free seminar that takes place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the United Title building at 7201 W. Lake Mead Blvd., Suite 101.
The seminar focuses on understanding the selling process, from property appraisal to buyer approval.

Senator Titus
speaks at meeting
State Sen. Dina Titus will be the featured speaker at the monthly general membership luncheon of Associated Builders and Contractors-Southern Nevada at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Palace Station.
ABC-Southern Nevada members are invited to display information about their companies at no charge.
The cost will be $25 with reservations, and $30 at the door.

Seminar covers
homeownership
The Consumer Credit Counseling Service and Nevada Fair Housing Center will sponsor "A Home of My Own," a free seminar covering the benefits of homeownership and real estate property disclosure under Nevada law.
The English versions of the seminar continues from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on April 13 and 20.
Both take place at 3650 S. Decatur Blvd., Suite 32, while another, being held tomorrow, will happen from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 2725 E. Desert Inn Road, Suite 180.
A Spanish version will take place April 15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Decatur location.

Customer service
series continues
The Community College of Southern Nevada's Continuing Education Division sponsors the "Customer Service Certification Series," which addresses telephone skills, personal contact and correspondence, and measuring service levels.
It will begin Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Sahara West Center, 2409 Las Verdes St., and happens every Wednesday for six weeks. The cost is $49 for each class, and $259 for the entire series.

The Consumer Credit Counseling Service will offer "Managing Credit in the Millennium," a free class about building and maintaining a good credit history.
