Turnberry reports on construction

Construction is ahead of schedule at Turnberry Place, a high-rise development that will feature four 38-story towers and a 65,000-square-foot private club, according to the builder, Turnberry Associates.
Construction of the first tower has surpassed the 24th floor, where 90 percent of homes have been sold. The tower is scheduled for completion in December.
The second tower, with homes priced from $425,000 to $4.3 million, will begin construction six months ahead of schedule. Completion is slated for late 2001.
"At the rate we are going, we could complete the entire project two years earlier than anticipated," John Riordan, vice president of sales, said.
The 15-acre community broke ground last month on a gatehouse, with completion slated for September. The facility will feature a security system to monitor the development's four towers and club and a 45-foot clock tower. A closed-circuit television channel will be linked to each residence, which will enable residents to preview their visitors at the entry.
Additional community amenities include a club offering salon and spa services; valet, room and concierge services; porter and limousine service; and two levels of underground parking.
The development will consist of 740 residences. Ten floor plans are offered, ranging from 1,550 to 8,000 square feet.
Homes feature kitchens with walnut cabinets and appliances; owner baths with marble flooring, spa tubs and marble-walled showers; 9- and 10-foot ceilings; and private elevator foyers.
The complex is located on Paradise Road, north of Desert Inn Road. The sales pavilion is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
