KB Home to host Wranglers at Mountain's Edge today

Hockey fans can snap photos with team's players

Hockey fans are invited to visit KB Home's Silver Hills and Sterling Ridge neighborhoods today and meet members of the Las Vegas Wranglers. Las Vegas' hometown hockey team will be available for photos and autographs from 1 to 4 p.m. at the model homes.

Visitors can tour models, eat lunch and register for a chance to win four tickets to an upcoming Wrangler's home game in the Wrangler's suite or an autographed team jersey.

"KB Home is a proud sponsor of the Las Vegas Wranglers," said Christina Nickerson, area sales manager for KB Home.

The company provides entertainment for the team's youngest fans during home games at the Orleans Arena with The Duke's KB Home Playhouse.

The home builder also hosts the KB Home Coach's Corner, giving fans a chance to ask Head Coach Glen Gulutzan questions via e-mail. Coach Gulutzan answers the questions during a pregame interview at the arena.

Silver Hills features nine floor plans including one- and two-story homes.

In addition to the four one-story floor plans, the neighborhood added a single-story enclave.

The homes range from 1,713 to 3,027 square feet and offer three to five bedrooms, two to 2 1/2 baths and two-car garages. Prices start in the high $200,000s.

The Sterling Ridge features two-story homes with eight floor plans, ranging from 1,393 to 2,035 square feet.

The home sites are large enough to accommodate pools and outdoor living spaces. Homes offer three to five bedrooms, 2 1/2 to three baths and one- and two-car garages.

Prices start in the mid-$200,000s.

All homes are Energy Star and Water Smart compliant.

Mountain's Edge features six parks including recreation areas such as picnic space, playgrounds, playing fields and walking trails.

The community's signature park, Exploration Park, including Exploration Peak, features an outdoor amphitheater, replicas of a Western town, American Indian village and an archaeological dig site.

The community includes four new elementary schools, two new middle schools and a new community high school. The plan also features shopping along Blue Diamond Road (near the entrance to Mountain's Edge) and professional office space.

To visit, from Interstate 15, exit Blue Diamond Road, heading west. Turn left on Durango Road; right on Mountain's Edge Parkway; and right on Quarterhorse Lane. Silver Hills is located on the right. Sterling Ridge is on the left.

The sales offices are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Monday when they open at noon. For more information, call 888-524-6637 or visit kbhome.com.
