Presales under way at U.S. Home's Palomino Canyon

The first home sites at Palomino Canyon were released for presales last weekend, and U.S. Home reports a positive response.

"We have had so many information calls on this new community, it was decided to accelerate our schedule and begin presales now," sales executive Vickie Zoot said.

"The intense interest in Palomino Canyon, according to what we are hearing from our buyers, is being generated by the community's desirable southwest location near Durango (Drive) south of (Interstate 215) combined with very competitive pricing."

The model homes are under construction and are expected to open by early May.

Four single- and two-story floor plans are available, ranging from 1,497 to 2,659 square feet and priced from the $140,000s. Homes can be built with two to five bedrooms, two or 2 1/2 baths, and two- or three-car garages.

Interiors, per plan, include vaulted ceilings, great rooms, family rooms, media niches, bay windows, architectural arches and plant shelves.

Kitchens offer island workstations, nooks, oak cabinets, ceramic-tile counter tops, breakfast bars and pantries.

To visit, take Durango Drive south, past Interstate 215, to Arby Avenue and go west.

The builder's Stillwater Canyon neighborhood is also located in the southwestern valley. Homes are built on 70X110 lots and priced from the $230,000s.

The builder has started presales at the gated Palazzo Monte, offering hillside home sites in Seven Hills. Floor plans range from 2,550 to 4,500 square feet. Prices start from the high $200,000s.

Other neighborhoods are Carriage Hills, Copperfield and Torrey Pines Ranch.

Hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when offices open at 11 a.m.
