Executive chef joins staff at Anthem Country Club

Executive Chef Parker Lee has joined the staff at Anthem Country Club, where he is responsible for all restaurant operations. Previously, he was associated with the Grandfather Golf and Country Club in North Carolina as well as the Inn at Little Washington.

Lee said he is delighted about his new position.

"The Inn catered to the most sophisticated and educated palates in the world," he said. "Our guests would visit from all over the world, and we literally had helicopters fly in with kings and queens from various countries to eat in our restaurant. I am excited to bring this experience right here to Anthem Country Club for our members."

Lee offers a bistro-style menu and has created several dishes expressly for the dinner menu at the country club. His specialties include a potato-crusted sea bass on baby spinach with celeriac mash, chocolate cake with a cold milk shooter, and a chocolate bourbon pecan pie.

"People who live in a country club tend to frequent the dining facilities several times per week to use the club to best advantage," he said. "So we plan to keep the menu fresh and exciting, and most of all, a fun experience for Anthem Country Club members."

The golf course community is situated in the foothills of Black Mountain in Henderson.

Buyers can choose from 20 floor plans, priced from the $200,000s to more than $1 million. Architectural variations include second stories, basements and casitas. The floor plans range from 1,281 to 5,800 square feet. Some homes are ready for immediate occupancy.

Custom-home sites overlooking the city, mountains or golf course range from half an acre to more than 1 1/2 acres and are priced from about $200,000 to more than $1 million.

The 18-hole championship golf course was designed by Keith Foster and PGA great Hale Irwin. Equity golf memberships are available. Executive golf memberships are available to nonresidents for a limited term.

An athletic club features a fitness center; swimming pools; basketball, sand volleyball and tennis courts; a children's day-care area; locker rooms; and a salon.

To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past St. Rose Parkway.

The sales office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
