Pardee helps out Henderson school

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Pardee Homes has again reached out to support public schools in the Las Vegas Valley, this time with a donation to help fund the computer lab at Frank Lamping Elementary School in Henderson. The $9,000 gift was made through the Clark County Public Education Foundation.

"Prior to receiving the generous assistance of Pardee Homes, many of our students were forced to share computers during class," Principal Jerry Boles said. "Thanks to Pardee and the Clark County Public Education Foundation, ... we were not only able to purchase twice as many computers, but we had the furniture that could accommodate twice as many computers."

The school is located near the Seven Hills community, where the builder is selling homes at Presidio, Riviera, Crescendo and Renaissance.

Pardee has also shown support for schools in North Las Vegas, where the builder is developing the Eldorado community. Recipients have included Lee Antonello Elementary School, which received a donation to fund its computer lab, and Mojave High School, which received funding for athletic field improvements. The builder also played a role in bringing Brian Cram Middle School to the city.

"Education is the strongest foundation of any community," said Klif Andrews, a Pardee Homes executive and foundation board member. "At Pardee, we build homes, parks and communities, while schools help build the good citizens that will allow our communities to flourish for many years to come. This philosophy is at the heart of Pardee's continued support of education in Southern Nevada."

The Clark County Public Education Foundation, an independent nonprofit organization created by business and community leaders, has been associated with Pardee for four years, according to Judi Steele, executive director.

"Our association with Pardee Homes has greatly benefited the state of Clark County public education," Steele said. "We consider companies like Pardee to be venture capitalists, investing in the future of Southern Nevada through assisting public education."

To visit Seven Hills, take Lake Mead Drive to Seven Hills Drive, which is west of Eastern Avenue, and go south. To visit Eldorado, take Craig Road to Camino Al Norte, which changes into Camino Eldorado, and head north.

All sales offices are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.
