Vineyards' luxury draws buyers

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Christopher Homes' Vineyards neighborhood has much to offer buyers seeking a luxury home in the Summerlin master-planned community, according to marketing executive Erika Geiser. More than 90 of the neighborhood's 138 homes have been sold to date.

"Vineyards is ... guard-gated, it has unique European styling, and it has a relatively small number of homes, which promotes a very pleasant and intimate living environment," Geiser said.

"For added outdoor luxury, a park traverses the neighborhood, passing through beautiful fountain plaza areas, where residents can sit, visit and enjoy the views. This linear park also has a keyed entry to Summerlin's Paseo Park, which conveniently connects to two nearby Summerlin parks."

Buyers can choose from four floor plans, ranging from 3,072 to 5,000 square feet and priced from the mid-$300,000s. The single- and two-story homes are built on lots ranging from one-quarter acre to one-third acre.

"Another major selling point for Vineyards is the elevated and terraced character of the land, which provides many homeowners with spectacular views of the Las Vegas skyline," Geiser said. "Vineyards is situated at an elevation of more than 3,000 feet in one of the highest areas of Summerlin."

She pointed out that the homes and the streetscape are unique from what is typically seen in the Las Vegas area.

"The homes have a true European flair and much attention was given to both the interior and exterior architecture," Geiser said.

The available home styles are French Provincial with a high-pitched roof; Monterey with a shake-style roof, shutters and front porch; and an Italian-Mediterranean design. Exterior accents include motor courts, balcony overlooks, casitas, and courtyards with fireplaces.

"Right now, aside from Vineyards, a home buyer can expect to pay anywhere from $500,000 to $1 million for a new Christopher home," Geiser said. "Most importantly, buyers get all the luxurious features, design elements and attention to detail that are long-standing trademarks of Christopher Homes."

The neighborhood is located within The Arbors village. To visit, take Summerlin Parkway to Town Center Drive and turn left. Turn right on Hualapai Way and proceed to Laurelglen Drive.

The sales office and model homes are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
